Starter: count backwards 10-0 then 20-0 

Main activitiy: continue looking at patterns. Go on a hunt around your home looking for patterns. For example, I have boxes in my office that have a grey and white repeating pattern. Take pictures of the patterns to share with me, and discuss the patterns with each other. 

 

 

Phonics 

continue with 'ai'

Focus on segmenting (spelling) today. Can you write the word rain? Help your child to segment the word if needed. r-ai-n. 

Suggested words; 

rain

pain

aim

train

snail 

Draw a picture of one of the words, write a sentence to go with it. 'The snail is slow' for example.

 

 

 

Literacy 

Match words from yesterday's story (Mavis the magical cat) with the pictures in the document below.
